Publicación Acceso abierto Analysis about the Experiences and Perceptions expressed by Foreigners regarding the Kinesics Employed in Bogotá.(2017) Sarmiento Rodríguez, John Alejandro; Hincapié Bohórquez, Diego AlejandroThe aim of the present research evidences the importance that non-verbal communicative acts have on the daily life interactions, particularly in other cultures with no a tight relation or an evident disparity. For this reason, this is a qualitative research study, based on this assumption some foreigners were interviewed to expose their knowledge about the kinesic communication or body language, focusing this communicative kind in our context. In this mode, this research seeks to inspect about the way how gestures could influence in communicative interactions among foreigners who visit or live in a region which has a different culture and costumes. With the purpose of spreading the knowledge about the perception that the participants of this work can express about the perceptions about the influence of gestures in the understanding and emission of messages during any kind of communicative interaction. Thanks to the information collected through these interviews is possible to know more about possible scenarios, if anyone faces different cultural representations of communication in an immersion context. This study also pretends to seek convergence points while participants experience this communicative type in order to allow the readers to take references of what is stipulated in this study. Languages on one hand bring cultural enrichment and on the other hand increase the development of communication skills. It is important to have a competent team of individuals, especially when the marketing strategy goes across many different countries. It requires different skills and strategies to sell a product or to offer a service in a national market versus international market. Creating a good marketing plan is critical to promoting the service of the Foundation and getting support from companies. It is important to constantly create new alliances with new companies for the continued economic support of any Foundation. Also, any Foundation needs skilled, competent, and suitable people that will uphold the values of the Foundation.Publicación Acceso abierto Development of Intercultural Competences: Perceptions from the past and the future(2019) Usa Pulga, Andrés Yair; Rodríguez Vargas, AngélicaEl objetivo de este proyecto consistía en establecer las percepciones tanto de estudiantes como de los docentes con respecto a las competencias interculturales que se pueden desarrollar por medio de una experiencia intercultural. Dentro de estas percepciones se consideraron puntos de vista desde el pasado, basado en las experiencias de los docentes; y puntos de vista a futuro, basado en las expectativas que tenían los estudiantes. De esta manera, se identifica cómo se implican estas competencias dentro de los aspectos personales y laborales de los participantes. Con respecto al tipo de estudio que se implementó, se desarrolla con una metodología cualitativa el cual se basa en un paradigma constructivista. El análisis de datos evidencia los datos recolectados por parte de los sujetos de estudio y como estos contribuyeron para el correcto desempeño de la investigación. Gracias al desarrollo de los instrumentos y el método en que los datos se analizaron, se pudo establecer una serie de competencias interculturales que presentaron tanto una relación como algunas diferencias entre las percepciones de los estudiantes y los docentes. This research as well pretends to improve the commercial procedures highlighting the importance of English and intercultural communication during international trade agreements. In addition; this project uses as basis some of the internationalization proposals established by government, some governmental organizations and the company used for finding out the need of interpreting English inside the commercial area.
