The present work developed in the J.J. Ascensores S.A.S., proposes a participatory strategy for the identification and reporting of hazards. In the context of occupational safety and health, participation is a fundamental pillar for the effective and efficient implementation of the management system, from which a preventive culture can be generated. After identifying the degree of compliance with legal requirements, performing the accident analysis, the collaborators of the J.J. Asesores S.A.S. for the development of the participatory proposal. From the identification of the theoretical foundations on participation as a mechanism of safety and health at work, it was evident that experience has shown that there is a relationship of mutual benefit organization-worker, since it contributes positively to the processes with a preventive approach, that is, a participatory collaborator can suffer fewer workplace accidents, because he knows the organization, identifies unsafe conditions and performs tasks safely.
