The present research illustrates about theoretical frame of the urban public transport, related to the different applications of maintenance, in belonging companies to SITP. The creation of the tree of equipments is directed to the improvement of the basic indicators of world-class maintenance, availability, reliability and mantenibility; without excluding other important components that must be born in mind to the moment to administer a traffic fleet. The reader was finding a brief introduction to the history of the public transport traditional group and of the implantation of the integrated system of the public transport traditional group since the administrations and laws are dictated in search, of the improvement of the mobility in Bogotá. Also in lapse of research, we saw of any real way. The importance of have a equipments of tree as basic of maintenance, like we see, this is the only company of maintenance of SITP that have a tree that present better levels of effectiveness and availability. At the same time this tool will determined and understand the different systems, be able to develop appropriate strategies to guarantee the cycle of the active life. On the same way it will emphasize the importance of the use of the tree of equipments for every type of industry, also through of the development presented by the researchers will permit to give the first steps for document and specialize the maintenance focus on the vehicular fleets, and also you will find the most part of the literature of maintenance that is centralized on the industrial plants
