Abstract

For years it was believed that work in office is one of the less risky compared to other industrial areas such as the electricity sector, construction and oil field; however, this space can cause health damage to medium or long term with serious consequences for the person. All administrative activities are characterized by a lack of physical movement, while a huge effort by the central nervous system. Work at a screen often leads to a contracted position and, therefore, backaches, eye discomfort, general fatigue, etc. The worst is not lack physical deactivated, but the excessive time spent sitting; however, often the administrative work requires long hours sitting by which terminals video, furniture and appropriate accessories to ensure the productivity of work is warranted and reduce the risks of contracting illnesses ergonomic type workers.
