In this research project an analysis to maintenance management is developed in a company in the metalworking sector. In the same one based on excellence matrix to observe maintenance assessment is established. And analyze what kind of maintenance is currently the company and according to data obtained are focused perceive whether or not the vision of the organization. As a strategy for improvement according to the detected findings suggest new TPM -based tools and RCM2 to help improve their management indicators not only maintenance area but other areas that make up the company. Based on the above, this research will contribute a strengthening in improving the measurement and control tools to focus on those weaknesses detected in actions to improve both the maintenance department and other areas involved.
