Diagnóstico de las condiciones de trabajo en el laboratorio veterinario Bioalfa de Colombia S.A.S.

Abstract

The present work was carried out in order to generate a diagnosis of the working conditions in the veterinary laboratory BIOALFA DE COLOMBIA S.A.S. A bibliographic review was carried out on the risks that are most present in the laboratories; The daily activity of the jobs in the production area was analyzed, where evidences of the presence of these risks in the workplace were observed. The most predominant risks were those of a physical, chemical and biological nature of origin and very varied consequences due to the exposure that workers have by direct contact with the raw material (animal remains, fluids), facilities and substances that are handled for the generation of vaccines. This study allowed identifying the risks and their effects on workers, as well as the main prevention measures. When analyzing the risks, it was shown that the biological type had an intolerable degree of risk, while the physical and chemical risks were not so extremely harmful to the health of the laboratory workers.
