Conocimientos en prevención de accidentes en el hogar en niños de 5 años

Abstract

Los accidentes en el hogar en niños de 5 años son la causa de morbimortalidad más significativa en la infancia, con importantes costos sociales y económicos, los cuales tienen una característica: son prevenibles. Por tal razón en la siguiente investigación se encontró, las lesiones y causas más frecuentes de accidentes en niños de 5años, algunos factores de riesgo como lo son el bajo nivel socioeconómico y las conductas negligentes, por tal efecto se evidencia que los niños a la edad de 5 años se encuentran en una etapa vulnerable lo que les puede poner en mayor riesgo de tener accidentes en el hogar.

The accidents in the home in children of 5 years are a cause of significant morbidity and mortality in childhood, with important social and economic costs, it has a characteristic: they are preventable. The epidemiology, risk factors, injuries and the measures that should be taken for their prevention are described in the research, the low socioeconomic level and the negligent behaviors in the children's environment are the most risk factor in accidents in the home In reference to the above, it is evident that accidents in the home can be reduced by means of educational strategies which can be led by nursing professionals, in order to promote education for health in the community in this case children of five years of an educational institution in Bogotá.
