Propuesta de aplicación de un modelo de KPI’s orientado al proceso de mantenimiento de los vehículos Biarticulados de la flota perteneciente a CapitalBus.

Abstract

La investigación, consistió en realizar una propuesta utilizando la metodología o modelo de KPI’s donde se pueda establecer un tablero de control que permita realizar la medición de las diferentes variables del proceso de mantenimiento de vehículos pertenecientes a la empresa CapitalBus, obteniendo un análisis que permita la mejora continua del proceso, alineándolo a su vez con la planeación estratégica, ya que al momento no cuenta con un modelo establecido de indicadores que permita la toma de decisiones lo cual impactaría directamente sobre la disponibilidad y confiabilidad de la flota como en los ingresos de la compañía. En el desarrollo se hace una recolección de información pertinente al estado del proceso de mantenimiento de vehículos, bases de datos de las hojas de vida de los activos, necesidades de la gerencia de mantenimiento de vehículos en cuanto a indicadores se refiere, así como a la necesidad de informes de gestión ante el ente gestor e interventoría, métodos de medición actual, entre otra información necesaria para establecer las necesidades y posibles soluciones al proceso. Luego del análisis de la información se observa la necesidad de implementar indicadores de gestión que permitan medir objetivamente, y a su vez conocer el estado real del proceso de mantenimiento de vehículos, permitiendo así tomar decisiones oportunas que conduzcan al mantenimiento a niveles de clase mundial, optimizando el proceso y a su vez generando valor a la organización.

The present investigation consists of making a proposal using the methodology or model of KPI's where a control board can be established that allows the measurement of the different variables of the maintenance process of vehicles belonging to the company CapitalBus, obtaining an analysis that allows the continuous improvement of the process, aligning it in turn with the strategic planning, since at the moment it does not have an established model of indicators that allows the decision making, which would impact directly on the availability and reliability of the fleet as in the income of the company. In the development, a collection of information is made, such as: pertinent information on the status of the vehicle maintenance process, databases of the assets' life sheets, needs of the vehicle maintenance management in terms of indicators, as well as the need for management reports to the management and auditors, current measurement methods, among other information necessary to establish the needs and possible solutions to the process. During the course of the research, the need for the implementation of management indicators that allow to measure objectively and at the same time to know the real status of the vehicle maintenance process is observed, thus allowing to make timely decisions that lead the maintenance to world class levels, optimizing the process and in turn generating value to the organization.
